NICHOLAS DEFILIPPO passed away November 23, 2009 in Grass Valley, Calif. at age 91. Visitation and Wake will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 in Graham Funeral Home in Rye, N.Y. from 2 to 6 p.m. A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Resurrection Church in Rye, N.Y. at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich. Mr. DeFilippo was born on August 6, 1918 in Rye, N.Y. to Charles and Mary (Frederico) DeFilippo. He graduated from Rye High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Antoinette Clement on March 30, 1942 in Greenwich. He was the owner of Tarrytown Automotive. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Triple A, Rye Golf Club and Peachtree Country Club in Yuba City. He enjoyed golf and Big Band music and was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette DeFilippo, previously of Yuba City, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and David Caldwell of Nevada City, Calif.; granddaughter and husband, Briana and Alex Ezzell of Nevada City, Calif.; granddaughter and husband, Lauren and Micah Cone of Berkeley, Calif.; and sister, Mary Calandrucci of White Plains, N.Y. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles DeFilippo in 1972 and mother, Mary DeFilippo in 1920. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross. Arrangements are under the direction of Graham Funeral Home, 1036 Boston Post Road, Rye, NY 10580.
