Ms. Phronia Cantrell Hackett, age 79, of Carthage, TN, and a native of Lancaster, TN, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018.
Ms. Hackett was born in Lancaster, TN, February 23, 1939 a daughter of the late Fred Dennis Cantrell and Mary Alice Jones Cantrell. She married Robert James “Bob” Hackett on October 21, 1961, and he preceded her in death on January 23, 1990. She was also preceded by Daughter; Diana Lynn Hackett, Sister; Freda Nell Beard, and Brother; Frank Thomas Cantrell.
Ms. Phronia was a 1956 graduate of Gordonsville High School. She worked at the Carthage Shirt Factory and later as a secretary for Rankin Oil Company for many years. Ms. Hackett was a member of the Carthage Church of God.
Ms. Hackett is survived by Son; Dennis Hackett and his wife Darlene of Popes Hill Community in Smith County, TN. Daughter; Carol Ann Hackett of Nashville, TN. Sister; Joyce Kilgore of Alexandria, TN. Brothers-in-Law; Richard (Jean) Hackett and Jerry (Beverly) Hackett. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services for Ms. Hackett are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 1PM with Bro. Richard Hackett and Bro. Joey Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
Visitation with the Hackett Family will be at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Sunday from 11AM until 8PM and on Monday after 9AM until service time at 1PM.
