Dennis Daniel Powers, 78, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Dennis was born February 22, 1940, in Ogden, the son of Daniel and Dorothy (Arnes) Powers.

He graduated from Jefferson High School, and Simpson College where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta fraternity. He served in the US Army Air Guard. He married Janice Heintz Powers in 1963. The couple lived and farmed at the family’s Century farm near Beaver for over 50 years.

Dennis was a collector of antique tractors and was well-known in the old engine hobby, participating in many shows. He also enjoyed Model T racing and had recently won the Montana 500 race.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Janice, son Matthew and his wife Marcia, stepmother Shirley Powers, brother Joe Powers (Deb), sister Diane Powers, sister Linda Williamson (David), niece Jasmin Williamson, nephew Chaz Williamson (Robyn), and their children Gia and Cash, and by many relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden. Rev. Evelyn Lewiston will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden.
