Obituary: The New Iberian, August 24, 1978

John H. McKee, 72, of Iberia died Tuesday evening, August 15, at Charles E. Still Hospital (Jefferson City). Mr. McKee was born June 22, 1906, near Iberia, son of John and Sarah Hickey McKee.

On April 11, 1929, he was married at Granite City, Ill., to Della Inez Baugh, who died March 19, 1972.

He was a retired steel worker. He retired in 1966 after 30 years with a Granite City, Ill. steel firm.

Survivors include: three sons, John McKee and Ronald McKee, both of Granite City, Ill., Terry McKee, Brumley; three daughters, Mrs. Nadine Rowden, Dixon, Mrs. Eilene Lissak, Richland and Mrs. Donna Nave, Iberia; one brother, David McKee, Dixon; two sisters, Mrs. Susan Pendleton, St. Elizabeth, Mrs. Hester Shelton, Granite City, Ill.; 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 17, at the Stevinson Funeral Home, Iberia, with Bro. Richard Carroll officiating. Burial was in the Dake Cemetery near Iberia.
