Velma began working for the
Evansville Vanderburgh School
Corporation in 1962, as a Cafe-
teria cashier at Cynthia
Heights Grade School, retiring
in 1982
She was a member of Al-
bright Methodist Church since
1948 and a member of Gold
Lady for Mental Health Associ-
tation. Velma often visited the
Cardinal Care Center
(Parkview) from 1971 to 1978
and received an award for the
many hours of achievement.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, Adolph Blesch
in 1984; and her sons, Daniel
Blesch in 1971, and Gail
Springston in 1997.
Velma is survived by her
daughter, Lynn Wilcox and her
husband, Jeremey, of Evans-
Ville; stepsons, Robert Blesch
of Evansville and Kenneth Blesch
Of Georgia; 12 grandchildren;
Nine great-grandchildren; sis-
ter, Wanda Utzman of Califor-
nia; Brother, Leevern Hunt of
Dale, Ind; brother, Leslie Hunt
of Tennyson, Ind; and sister,
Vermal Garrison of Boonville,
Ind.
Services will Be 2 p.m. Sat-
urday, March 6, 2004, at
Alexander North Chapel, with
Burial at Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday,
March 6, 2004 , from 10 a.m. un-
til service time at Alexander
North Chapel. Donations may
