Raymond Silas Hunt of California City, CA passed away on July 28, 2000 in Rosamond, CA. He was born on July 18, 1913 in Tennyson, Indiana.
Raymond was a member of the General Baptist Church and a Master Mason of Palma Vista Lodge #205 of Princeton, FL. A thirty-second degree Mason of the Scottish Rite in Bakersfield, CA; a member of Al Malaikah Shrine Temple in Los Angeles; Antelope Valley Shrine Club and the Askars Marching Unit.
He served in the U.S. Army in WWII as a surgical technician and retired from civil service as a fire crash and rescue mechanic from Edwards Air Force Base, CA.
He is survived by a daughter of Bend, OR and a son of Palm Springs, CA.
Private funeral services were held in Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA. Arrangements by Stickel Mortuary.

CALIFORNIA CITY — Private funeral services were held this week for California City resident Raymond Silas Hunt, who passed away July 28 in Rosamond.
Mr. Hunt was born July 18, 1913, in Lancaster, and served as a surgical technician in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was retired from civil service as a fire crash and rescue mechanic at Edwards Air Force Base.
Mr. Hunt was a member of the General Baptist Church and was a Master mason in Palma Vesta Lodge #205 in Princeton, Florida. He was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite in Bakersfield, a member of Al Malaikah Shrine Temple in Los Angeles, a member of the Antelope Valley Shrine Club and the Askars Marching Unit.
He was also a member of the Independent order of Odd fellows and the Lancaster Moose Lodge.
He is survived by a daughter in Bend, Oregon, and a son in Palm Springs, California.
