Mary was a 1961 graduate of Charleston Catholic High School. She graduated in 1985 from West Virginia University with a master’s degree in Education. Mary was a Special Education Teacher at Parkersburg High School for 29 years, where she developed lifelong friendships and often supported her students by going to their school functions and athletic events. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for 45 years, and a member of North Parkersburg Women’s Club. Mary enjoyed traveling with her friends and family.
Mary is survived by her husband Lewis of 55 years, her three children Christopher (Sherri), Thomas (Valerie) and Aaron Benjamin (Mindy). Mary has six grandchildren, Ethan, Katie, Christian, Sarah, Emma and Alex; two brothers, Gene (Carol) Primozic and Philip Primozic; a brother-in-law Steve Poll; sisters-in-law Peggy Knight, Janet (Gene) Lehman, and Mary Louise Miller (Richard); and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Poll, sisters-in-law, Nancy Primozic, Norma Abston and brother-in-law Leo Abston.
A viewing will be held and hour before Mass which is being offered in her honor at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church on 2500 Dudley Avenue Parkersburg, WV at 11:00 AM November 24, 2018. A private Rite of Committal will occur at Mount Carmel Cemetery located at 23rd and Fairview Avenue Parkersburg, WV.
