Elmer F. Turner, age 92 formerly of New Paris, Ohio, died Monday, November 19, 2018 at Forest Park Health Center in Richmond, Indiana. Born on August 13, 1926 in Richmond, Indiana he was the son of the late Howard A. & Anna E. (Pardieck) Turner. Elmer was a 1944 graduate of Richmond High School and a U.S. Army World War II veteran. He was a retired Preble County Ohio farmer and member of the New Paris American Legion, St. Andrews Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus of Richmond, Indiana.

Preceded in death by daughter: Nancy T. Schneider in 2013; brothers: Robert Turner, Carl Turner, Edward Turner and Arthur Turner; sisters: Helen Leslie, Mary Ryan, Martha Rouleau, Evelyn Williams and Alice Austerman.

Survived by his wife of 68 years: Anora F. (Fahien) Turner; daughters: Carolyn T. Melody of New Paris, OH and Kathleen J. Peterson of Colorado; brothers: Howard Turner of Fountain City, IN; Fred Turner of Knoxville, TN; sister: Jane Johnson of Richmond, IN; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 P.M. on Friday, November 23, 2018 at St. Andrews Catholic Church 235 South 5th Street Richmond, Indiana. The funeral mass will be 12:00 PM at the church and interment in St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery in Richmond, Indiana with military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
