Carl Turner 96 of Richmond died October 14, 2014. He was born April 11, 1918 in Richmond to Howard A. and Anna Pardieck Turner and lived here all his life.

He retired from Commons’ Lumber Company and was an Army veteran of World War Two serving in the Second Armored Division, receiving two Purple Hearts. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons Kenneth Turner of and James Turner, two daughters Joan Rantanen and Mary Ellen Carver, his grandchildren and great grandchildren four brothers Elmer, Edward, Fred, and Howard Turner, two sisters Evelyn Williams and Jane Johnson, nieces and nephews.

His wife Jane died in 2007, one son Thomas, his parents, and his other brothers and sisters are also deceased.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday October 18, 2014 at St. Andrew’s Church with Rev. Kevin Morris officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the church. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Seton Catholic Schools c/o Richmond Catholic Office 240 South 6th Street Richmond, Indiana 47374.
