A native of McDowell County Barbara was born July 21, 1942 and is a daughter of the late Clyde Worth Freeman and Margaret Conner Pearson.
Barbara loved her husband, children and grandchildren very much and they loved her. She loved to garden, especially flowers and she also loved to fish in her spare time.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Freeman.
Surviving Mrs. Brown are her husband of eleven years, Floyd “Booner” Brown; three children: Shirley Barr of Marion, Joe Benge of Nebo and Kathy Benge, also of Nebo. One brother, Don Freeman of Union Mills; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday, November 28, 2011 at 2:00 pm in Westmoreland Chapel with Rev. Ray Broome officiating.
