Audrey Ellamae Martin, 69, of Beckley passed away Sunday, December 6, 2009, at her home following a long illness.

Born October 2, 1940 at Pemberton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Royal and Sarah Lilly Vaught.

She was a homemaker and part of a group that went to local nursing homes and correctional facilities to sing and minister.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Leonard Bragg, twin brothers Ronald and Donald Vaught, and a sister Ramona Wheeler.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Houston Martin of Beckley, daughters; Dolly Meadows and husband Chuck of Cool Ridge, Sylvia Martin and husband Thomas of White Oak and a step daughter Linda Stowers and husband Roger of Raleigh. Three brothers; Douglas Vaught of Richmond VA, Jimmy Vaught of Beckley and Dencil Vaught of Pax. Three sisters; Joyce Leamon of Oregon, Janice Dixon of Coal City and Lois Hazelwood of Sand Branch. Eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of extended friends and family.

Burial in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
