Barbara L. Byrd, age 80 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Friday, November 16, 2018. Barbara was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 18, 1938 to Fred R. and Elisabeth (nee First) Hugenberg. On October 12, 1957 she married Alan E. Byrd, who preceded her in death in the year of 1999. Barbara enjoyed the theater, concerts, crocheting and was an avid reader. She was a long-standing member of the MNO Club.
Barbara is survived by her children, Linda (Jeff) Naylor, Scott (Anita) Byrd and Lisa (Mike) Pennington; her granddaughters, Lindsay (Jonas) Buser, Megan Byrd, Kelsey and Emily Naylor, Abby and Ally Pennington; her great granddaughter, Henley Buser; her sister, Marti (John) Frey; her brothers, Jim and Robert Hugenberg; her loving cousins, Norma Jean Rogers, LaDonna Bray, Mike (Deb) Bray and Judy (Keith) Vore; her dear friend, Kay Boughen; and many other loving friends and family who provided support throughout the years. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Darrtown Cemetery.
