Ruth was not buried with her husband in Reed City,Mich. She was buried at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint, Michigan (memorial #194763404) by her daughter Alice Veal, she did not want her mother that far away. Angus and Ruth did not have any children. Ruth Shauger's first husband was Joseph Chester Callender, born 2/5/1891 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He died 11/7/1967 in Lucasville, Ohio. She married him in 1921 in Joplin, Missouri. He was buried in Friendship, Ohio.
They were separated for years before she divorced him in 1945 in Ann Arbor, MI. where she met a wonderful man, Angus Shauger, they later moved to Flint. She moved to Ann Arbor in 1943 from Huntington, West Virginia. She lived at 1822 19th St. in Huntington raising her kids alone.
