JESSE FRANKLIN EDWARDS
Jesse Franklin Edwards passed away Saturday, January 7, 2006 in North Carolina. Frank was born in Hokes Bluff, Alabama March 9, 1936, son of Clarence A. Edwards and Mattie Lou Baker Edwards. Frank was the loving husband of Terry who passed away in 1985 and precious father to Neil, Jay, Tracy and Todd. He graduated from Gadsden High School 1954 and Auburn University 1960 in mechanical engineering and received masters degree at Perdue University. He was active in ROTC, high school and college drums corps, editor of GHS newspaper and an avid Boy Scout. He service 10 years in US Army in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. Frank worked at Western Electrical GTE living in Omaha, Nebraska, Snellville, Georgia and Albuquerque, New Mexico. In September 1990 he moved to Saudia Arabia to work several years as an engineer for their government. After a few years retirement in Albuquerque, Frank moved to Kernesville, North Carolina in 2002. He is survived by sons, Neil Edwards and family, Los Angeles, CA; Jay Edwards and family Albuquerque, NM; Todd Edwards, Atlanta, GA; and daughter Tracy Hackenbruchand family, Kernesville, NC; sisters, Willene Price, NC; Ruth Reynolds and Barbara Alford, Gadsden, AL and brother Roy Edwards, Virginia. Funeral service Saturday Collier-Butler Funeral Home, Gadsden and interment will follow. Additional information published in the obituary.
