Mitchell Vernon Jones, Jr, 51, went to his Heavenly home after a long illness on Sunday, October 9, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. He was born October 16, 1964 and a 1983 graduate of Northwest Georgia High School.
He is preceded in death by his father, Rev. Vernon Jones, Sr., grandparents Ralph and Novella Prince Jones, David and Beatrice DeFoy Holland.
Survived by his mother, Barbara Holland Jones; wife of 31 years Claudia Osborne Jones, daughter Mary (Jeremy) Culbert, two granddaughters, Payson and Aaliyah Culbert; sisters Angela (Mark) Smith and Pamela (Thomas) Pardue; Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at North Georgia Worship Center, 23 Bishop Road, Wildwood, GA where he was a member and part of an outreach ministry to help others in need. Ministers, and friends, Bro. Nick Forshee and Bro. Mike Williams officiating. Family will visit with friends and extended family after the service until 5pm.
