Lester R. Parrish, 91, of Kankakee, IL died on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Miller Health Care Center in Kankakee, IL.
He was born of March 30, 1927, in Hopkins Park, IL, the son of Rollie and Bernice Dick Parrish.

He married Norma Block on June 26, 1948 in Momence, IL.

Survivors include his wife Norma Parrish, of 70 years, of Kankakee, IL. One daughter and two sons-in-law: Susan and Bill Phelps of Momence, and Brian Middaugh of Minneapolis, MN. One sister Marjorie Smith of Bourbonnais, IL and one sister-in-law: Lois Parrish of Clifton, IL. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Virginia Phelps, Robert Phelps and Brian Middaugh, Jr. and six great grandchildren; Kody Lawrence, Kolten and Kayden Villareal, Jax and Jolee Phelps and Brielle Middaugh.

He was preceded in death by his daughter; Linda Middaugh, his parents, 1 sister; Inez Dugan and six brothers; Lloyd, Lawrence, Bernard, Duane, Jack and Emil Parrish.

He had retired from Mobil Chemical and Val Spar after 42 years. He also owned Parrish Antiques in Momence, IL for over 20 years. He had been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Momence, IL. He enjoyed attending auctions and going antiquing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
