She graduated from Cuero High School and Victoria Beauty College in 1974 before marrying her husband, Neal, on October 19 of that same year. Kathy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She selflessly served everyone around her and brought joy to the lives of everyone she met. She committed her life to Christ at an early age and faithfully served Him all of her days. She enjoyed serving Him as a Sunday School teacher to youth for over 40 years. She considered it a privilege to be able to serve Christ by serving others in the community of Cuero through her work at Cuero ISD where she was employed for 32 years, 18 of which as the Superintendent's Secretary. Yet, Kathy served Christ best in the ways in which she loved and served her family, including the more than 30 foster children she and her husband cared for.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan "Suzie" Joan Simpson.
