Michael J. Alvalrez, 42, of Glendale, passed away November 5, 2018. Michael was born on December 1, 1975 to Rose Marie Hernandez and Mike Alvarez. He is survived by his children: Amy, Anthony, Daniel, Xavier, Steven, and Maya; 5 grandchildren: Christian, Savannah, Delilah, Ehmery, and Bella; his pops Jesus; his siblings: Melissa, Jesus David, Saira, Johnnie, Theresa, and Jesse; as well as his nieces, nephews, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael would often perform unexpected, unsolicited, acts of kindness for anyone in need. He would be the first person to jump out of the car and help push someone else’s car off to the side of the road when they were having car trouble. He had love and loyalty for each and every family member and friend. Michael was an avid Raiders fan. He loved to camp, fish, and play pool, cornhole, horse shoes, and dominoes. Michael had a smile that let you know that fun was on its way. Services will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 5-8 PM with a rosary at 7 PM. There will be a committal service the following day, Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at 10 AM at West Resthaven Park Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to meet at 9:30 AM at the funeral home and to then proceed together to his burial site. He will be laid to rest with his beloved daughter Michaela Jessie Alvarez. Michael’s family would like to thank everyone for their continued prayers.
