Samuel Howard Holt, affectionately known as “Pap”, was born on February 1, 1935 to the late Samuel and Effie Holt in Bethany, Louisiana. He married the love of his life Louise Williams in March, 1955. Together they raised 7 children.
He was known for his quick smile, sharp wit and generous spirit. He gave without hesitation and was always sure to be there on a moments notice to help a friend or loved one in need.
He is preceded in death by two sons: Harold Howard Holt and Michael Holt. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 63 years, Louise Holt; sons Clarence Holt, Jerry Holt (Lois) and Anthony Holt; daughters Rhnea Holt and Brenda Alexander (Brian). Ten grandchildren Nikki Rhodeen (Aaron), Michael Jerome Holt, Alicia Holt, Breanna Fields, Terrah Spencer, Eric Spencer (Brandie), Jerry Rashad Holt (Valarie), Aston Holt, Angelica Holt, Chris Harmon (Nikki). Ten great grandchildren Samuel and Blake Rhodeen, Nyla Robinson, Haylen and Harley Holt, Bethanie and Ava Spencer, Toryn Fields, Ajaya and Bobby Harmon and a host of other relatives and friends.
