West Jordan - Thomas Finlayson, 83, died Sunday at his home in West Jordan of causes incident to age.
He was born in Rushshire, Scotland, October 31, 1855, a son of Evan and Isabella Chisholm Finlayson.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Laura Elizabeth Finlayson; two sons, Hugh S. Finlayson of West Jordan and Allen M. Finlayson of Hunter; five daughters, Mrs. Laura Cooley of West Jordan, Mrs. Daisy Eades of Monterey, Cal.; Mrs. Mava Nichol, Mrs. Ivie Hibbard and Miss Nora Finlayson of Puente, Cal.; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Nelson and Mrs. Isabella Ford of New Zealand; three brothers, John, Duncan and Alexander Finlayson of New Zealand; 37 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

He married Laura Elizabeth Going 10 Mar 1878 in Opuawahnga, New Zealand. They were the parents of eleven children, including: Daisy F., Mava I., Allan Milton, and William G. Finlayson.
