Carol A. (Powderly) Powers, age 68, of South Easton, died March 17, 2018, at Brigham and Womens Hospital. Carol was the wife for 34 years of the late Richard J. Powers. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Agnes (Farrington) Powderly. Carol was a 1967 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School, and graduate of Aquinas Jr. College. Spending time with her children and grandchildren, entertaining family and friends and traveling with her husband, gave her the greatest joy. She also loved to spend time at the beach, boating, sewing, cooking and gardening. Carol was the loving mother of Colleen E. DeSimone and her husband Gregory of Mansfield and Ryan T. Powers and his wife Keri of Raynham; grandmother of Cecelia DeSimone and Matthew and Mallory Powers; sister of Richard Powderly and his wife Michelle of Kingston and John Powderly and his wife Nancy of Lakeville; sister in law of Sharon Fanning of FL and aunt of Jennifer Colombo, Tracy Owen and Jon Powderly. Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday 4-7 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Saturday at 9 am for a funeral Mass in Holy Cross Church at 10 am. Burial will follow in South Easton Cemetery.
