Clarence Conn, 81, of Rt 2, Benton, died Tuesday in the Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Ohio. He had been ill for one week. Burial in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton.

A resident of the county most of his life, he was the son of Noah and Sarah Parker Conn.

He was a retired Electrician; a Veteran of World War l; a member of the First Christian Church, Benton; and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 702, West Frankfort.

His wife, the former Lula Gunter, preceded him in death.

Surviving: Daughters, Cathern Mosley of Evansville, IN; Marjorie Allen of Benton; Mary Massey of Edwardsburg, MI; Mildred Wood of Enon, OH; and Thelma Odle of Newark, OH.
Son, Thomas Conn of Goshen, IN.
