Per her obituary, Mary earned her BA degree in education from National Collage of Education in Evanston, IL. She taught elementary school in Manitowac, WI, and St. Louis, MO. On June 16, 1948, she married Dr. Elfred Lampe. The family lived in Fort Wayne, IN, from 1955-2007, but after residing part-time in Rancho Mirage, CA, for 25 years, they moved there permanently. Mary was survived by her husband Al, sons Thomas and George, daughter Martha, as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Harley and Sue and her sisters Lorna and Ellen.
