Jessie Fern Dowler was one of the 11 children of Hamilton R. Dowler and Mary G. Leggett.

m1. William Earl "Earl" Anglen, son of Zeph and Frances Anglen, Feb 1909 in Columbus, Cherokee County, Kansas as reported in the Chetopa Clipper (Chetopa, Kansas) 24 Feb 1909, Wed Page 5. Together they had sons Fred, Archie, Ralph, Robert, and Thomas Anglen.

m2. Clifford Brokaw Cloonan on 4 Apr 1927 in Casper, Wyoming. They moved to Agate Colorado as reported by the Casper Star-Tribune on 30 Nov 1930. Together the couple had three known sons: Clifford, William and Walter Cloonan.

Clifford B. Cloonan, Jr., the son of Clifford Brokaw Cloonan and Jessie Fern Dowler Anglen, was born in Chugwater, Wyoming, August 28, 1928. Fern Dowler was the widow of William Earl Anglen, who died in the flu epidemic in 1919 before the last of their five children, all boys, was born. Clifford Cloonan, an ordained Baptist minister, was pastor of the church in Chugwater when he met the widow Anglen. They were married April 4, 1927. Their second boy was also born in Chugwater before the family moved to Agate, Colorado, where their third child, another son, was born.

FORMER RESIDENT DIES
Clifford Brokaw Cloonan was born in Andrew county Sept. 5, 1884. The eldest son of John and Harriett Cloonan, he was preceded in death by his father, mother, a sister, Lora and a brother, Clyde. A sister, Mrs. Ins Compton and a niece, Mrs. William Brand and and aunt, Mrs. Sadie Cloonan, all of Savannah survive. He died Thursday, Aug. 23, at Colorado General hospital at the age of 71 years. He was graduated in 1925 from William Jewell College.. After graduation he accepted a position as pastor of the Baptist church in Chugwater, Wyo., where he served for two years. He was married in 1927 to Fern Anglen. To this union were born three sons. Clifford Jr. of Cedar Rapids, la.. William of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Water C now serving in the U. EL Navy. There are five step-sons and four grandchildren. Mr. Cloonan was a member of the Agate Community Baptist church of which he was pastor for three years. Also a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge 14 of Savannah. Services were last week in Colorado.
