John Starling Tuggle, 1226 Hill St SE, died in a private hospital Wednesday. He was 57.

Mr Tuggle was a maintenance department employe of the General Motors Chevrolet Division. He previously had been with the Atlanta Police Department for 12 years. He was born in Atlanta and was a Mason.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Thursday in Antioch Baptist Church, where he was a member. The Rev Durwood F Williams and the Rev W H Cruce will officiate. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial park.

Survivors include his wife, the former Marie Westbrooks; two sons, John William and Joe Frank Tuggle; two daughters, Mrs Edward C Kimberly and Miss Linda Diane Tuggle; two brothers, patrolman H G Tuggle and Supt J L Tuggle, both with the Atlanta Police Department; his mother, Mrs Ada Tuggle; and two sisters, Mrs Lucile Beasley and Mrs Geneva McNaughton.
