Dr. Sigmund/Zygmunt Schwarzer was born in Prseniysl, Poland. His father was a well known physician Dr. Willelm Schwarzer. His mother was Sophie Goliger a concert pianist. His parents were shot dead by the Nazis July 30, 1942 in Poland along with his girlfriend Renia Spiegel. He arrived in New York Septeber 1949. He married Genia Buchwalt. Together they had a son, Mitchell William Schwarzer.
