Gertrude Hurst Davis, 78, of Doerun, died Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Emory Hospital-Atlanta.
Born November 5, 1939 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Lee Hurst and Viola Pate Hurst.
Mrs. Davis retired from the Marine Corps Logistic Base as an administrative secretary and was a former secretary with the Colquitt County Board of Education. She was a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Quinton Davis Jr. of Doerun; children, Vicky Fleischmann and Dennis of Moultrie, Jim Davis and Tracy of Pavo, Sherry Jones and Chuck of Moultrie; grandchildren, Lee Davis, Jeremiah Davis, Christian Davis, Tyler Fleischmann, Stephen Fleischmann, Justin Jones and Jenna Rae Schaffer; great-grandchildren, Holly Davis, Hadley Davis, Quinn Davis, Hayden Davis, Addalyn Davis, Bentley Fleischmann and Carlee Fleischmann.
