He was born Feb. 21, 1950, in New Berlin, the son of the late Ronald and Virginia Burns Palmer and was a graduate of New Berlin Central School. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and John Elliott of Lakeland, Fla.; a niece and her husband, Teri and Scott Ritenour and their son Matt of North Carolina; a nephew and his wife, Mike and Kim Elliott and their sons, Kaleb and Cullen of Sauquoit; and special friends, Ralph and Barb, Charlie and Sandy and Les and Loretta, all of Norwich.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
