Eddie Jean Fair passed from this life into the arms of her Savior on Saturday October 20, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born on January 12, 1929 in Cass County, Texas to Allen and Willie Council. She lived 89 years, 9 months and 8 days. She married Joe Albert Fair in Texarkana, Arkansas on October 6, 1951. They were married 60 years until his death on May 3, 2011. After their marriage, they moved to West Texas where two of their children were born and then to Oklahoma in 1957. They raised their family in Geronimo but later moved to Waurika, where she resided until her death. Jean was a homemaker and a fabulous cook. Jean was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Over the past several years, she has been faithfully cared for by her youngest son, Dwight. She was a member of Corum Baptist Church.

Services will be at 10am on Saturday October 27th at the Corum Baptist Church, 183149 N 2740 Rd; Comanche, under the direction of the Comanche Funeral Home. Jean’s eldest grandson, Jeremy Fair, pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church, Tulsa, will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Fairlawn Cemetery, Comanche. Visitation with the family will be on Friday October 26th from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home located at 203 Church Ave, Comanche.

The family would like to thank Chisholm Trail Hospice for their outstanding care. The family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Corum Baptist Church building fund or to Chisholm Trail Hospice.

Jean is survived by her four children and their spouses: Steve and Debbie Fair, Duncan, Randell and Donna Fair, Duncan, Vanda and Jay Quarles, Lawton, and Dwight Fair, Waurika; seven grandchildren and their spouses; Jeremy and Kimberly Fair, Tulsa, Stacy and Michael Morgan, Fort Worth, Texas, Brandon and Georgina Fair, Chickasha, Bryan and Dawn Fair, Austin, Texas, Melissa and Jesse Neugebauer, Duncan, Jason and Anisa Quarles, Duncan and Brin Fair and fiancée Lisa Windham, Lawton; eight great grandchildren; Caedmon Fair, Creth Fair, Cale Fair, Cooper Fair, Phoenix Fair, Joseph Neugebauer, Shelby Neugebauer, and Mavis Quarles; one sister-in-law, Marie Lee of Dallas, special friend and caregiver: Wanda Gallaher and special friends, Bonnie and Marvin McConnell.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and all eight of her siblings.
