Daniel Davis of Forest City, died yesterday [4 June] morning of wounds received while at work in the Delaware and Hudson mines at Forest City. He was a driver boy and was running a trip down the slope when the cars became unmanageable. He endeavored to warn his brother, who was working nearby of the danger and was caught between the cars and the side of the slope. His back and one leg were broken besides many minor injuries.
