Passed away suddenly Sunday, October 21, 2018 at age 66. Predeceased by his parents, Lisle E. Hopkins and Neva Conderman Hopkins; sibling James; and many aunts and uncles. He leaves his sister, Karen Hopkins of Rush, New York, and many cousins.

Curt graduated from Alfred Tech and managed the family farm for more than forty years. Initially Hopkins Dairy Farm produced and bottled milk marketed door to door as well as through Hopkins Dairy stores. In recent years the farm converted to selling beef and grain in the local community.

Curt volunteered many hours by leading Steuben County Farm Bureau for multiple terms. Additionally he was a Steuben Agricultural Society Board member supporting the longest running County Fair in the country. He led the local USDA Board and facilitated the Cooperative Extension program known as Farm City Days.

Curt will be dearly missed by his family, his many friends, and the community he served.

Calling hours will be held from 3 – 6 on Friday, October 26th at Fagan’s Funeral Home, 31 W Morris St., Bath. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 27, at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Bath with Reverend Dr. Stanley Bhasker officiating. Interment to immediately follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Hammondsport. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Steuben County Agricultural Society, 15 East Washington Street, Bath.
