Ida is the eldest child of Samuel Eugene Kenney and Delathine Dalton. She married Arnold Grant McEwan on June 21, 1922. They became parents to two sons, Robert Eugene (who died at age 3) and Ronald Grant. They lived in Salt Lake City, Utah and Los Angeles and Orange Counties in California. Arnold died in 1966.
