Died after a valiant battle with cancer.

Served 2 years in the Army during the Korean War
Delivered Flett Dairy products
Self-employed as a log truck driver
(Especially enjoyed taking his Black Labrador, Molly, on his daily trips between forest and mill.)

Member of:
Tacoma Swiss Society
Swiss Sportsman's Club
He contributed his considerable construction talents to the creation of Swiss Park Facilities with his many friends of the Sportsman's Club.

Mike was a man whose love, friends and family were not confined to his neighborhood, but reached across the world and spanned the seas. The word "stranger" was not in his vocabulary and his wonderful, strong, bear-sized hands were always gently helping others or reaching into his bottomless pockets to give to those in need. His huge heart rejoiced in the kindness of others and was out-sized only by the humbleness of his soul. His spirit and love will remain with his family and friends and will live on in all of us; his graciousness, sense of humor, his stories and determination to make a difference in those whom his life touched.
