ALEXANDRIA - Susan E. (Prieshoff) McAllister, 63, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in her residence after a long struggle with multiple myeloma cancer.

Sue grew up in Alexandria, IN. where she enjoyed her 1950s childhood and camping with her family in the Smokies. She attended St. Mary’s School and graduated in 1973 from Alexandria-Monroe High School. She worked at Sears and later St. John’s Hospital as a unit clerk on the orthopedic ward led by Virginia Loftus. She enjoyed playing Euchre with her card club and was an accomplished nature photographer.
Sue was a kind and loving person, a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a lifelong Catholic, true in seeking a closer walk with God. She loved simple things and had a tender heart. Children gravitated to her smile and felt important in her presence.

Survivors:
Husband- Donald McAllister married 32 years
Daughters- Emily (Rich) Hauptvogel and Jennifer (Alex) Sohn
Son- John (Katie) McAllister
Siblings- Ann Marie Prieshoff, Jeanne (Bill) Baker, Paula Prieshoff and Brian (Peggy) Prieshoff;
Grandsons- Jacob Cooper, Avi Sohn and Eli Sohn;
Brothers-in-Law- David McAllister and Richard Beamer;
Several Beloved Nieces and Nephews
Sue leaves behind her love for her longtime friends Deb O’Brien, and Terri Schleuder.
