Myrtle Loomis Dies; Funeral To Be Tuesday
Mrs. Myrtle May Loomis, 1421 Penbroke Lane, died Sunday morning in her home. She was 81.
A resident of Topeka for 26 years, Mrs. Loomis came here from Augusta. She was born May 1, 1881 in Augusta.
Mrs. Loomis was a member of Central Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice S. Loomis, of the home; two daughters, Miss Helen Loomis, of the home, and Mrs. Bernice L. Davis, Wichita; two sons, Lyle W. Loomis, Winfield, and M. Lloyd Loomis, Wichita; a brother, Ernest L. Carter, Wichita, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Penwell-Gabel Chapel with entombment in Mount Hope Abbey. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 7 p.m. Monday until noon Tuesday.
