David Angel, age 55, formerly of Cynthiana, Kentucky, passed away at his home, in Friendswood, Texas, on August 31, 2018. He was born in Paris, France, but grew up in Cynthiana. He was the son of Dolores Trezza Angel, of Seabrook, Texas, and the late George "Ray" Angel. Dave attended Harrison County High School, was a drummer in the marching band, a student in the ROTC program and graduated in 1981. After employment at Cleveland Twist Drill, Dave joined the United States Air Force, serving his country as a career military Air Force and retired as an E 7, Master Sergeant, with numerous awards, service medals and commendations.

After retiring, he became an employee of General Dynamics and NAV Air until 2015. He also received his bachelor's degree in business from Grantham University and was a member of Cynthiana Elks Lodge #438. Dave's military service in logistics enabled him to live and work in many countries. From being stationed at Ellington Field, in Webster, Texas, he spent three tours in Qatar, Iraq and Afghanistan, then two years in Lucern, Switzerland.

Dave is preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert Sharp. He is survived by: his sisters, Debbie Taylor (Tommy), of Cynthiana, and Diana Angel, of Seabrook, Texas; a brother, Bobby Sharp, Jr. (Debbie Sharp), of Pennsylvania; three daughters, Catherine Polk, of Cleveland, Texas, and Alyssa Angel and Briana Angel, both of LaGrange, Texas. Special friends include Brenda Hartnett, Dennis Stephens, Thomas Hacker and his Air Force family and friends in Webster, Texas.

At his daughter's request, there was a private service in Pearland, Texas. Crowder Funeral Home, in Texas, was in charge of arrangements. There will be a military service at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, in Williamstown, Kentucky, at 1:00 p.m. on November 2. Donations may be made to the Cynthiana Elks Lodge, 1544 US Highway 62 East, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031.
