Michael Kavulich was very active in his community, serving as State Rep of the 114th District. He also held many board positions. He was a devout Catholic who was very active in his church. He knew Jesus “always had his back”.
His favorite pastimes were taking his granddaughter Myah to Five Below, and sneaking snacks to his other granddaughter, McKenna. He also loved to spend time with his family and friends-turned-family. He also enjoyed listening to the sounds and singing along with local legend band, The Wanabees.
He is survived by wife of 38 years, Linda, a daughter, Loni Loiselle with husband Jon, a daughter, Ariel Kavulich and Dave Gindle, and son, Zachary Kavulich. Also surviving are granddaughters, Myah, McKenna, another granddaughter on the way, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend State Representative Sid Michaels Kavulich’s Mass which will be held on Monday October 22, 2018 at 11 am in Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis Street, Scranton by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli, pastor. Interment will follow in St, John the Baptist Cemetery, Taylor. Friends may call Sunday from 1-5 P.M. at the Riverside Junior Senior High School, 300 Davis St. Taylor. Transferal to Divine Mercy Parish will take place at 6 PM. with an evening vigil to follow at 6:30 PM.
