Donna Kelly (57) departed from this world and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, October 13, 2018, under the care of Iowa River Hospice with her family by her side. Donna fought a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Donna loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed shopping, family gatherings and listening to music. She will be dearly missed by all.
Donna was born to Ollie Mae McDowell and William McDowell on November 1, 1961 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Donna graduated from Marshalltown High School. She was married to Robert Kelly in 1991 in Marshalltown, IA. Donna was currently employed at Lennox Manufacturing in Marshalltown, until she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2016.
Left to cherish Donna's memory is her husband of 26 years, Robert Kelly Jr.; children Ashley (Carlos) Chavez of Marshalltown and Amber (Doug) Kelly of Marshalltown; step-children Rene Shepard, Harrell Shepard, James Kelly, Robert Kelly III and Drew Ferguson of Marshalltown; brothers Frank (Calma) McDowell of Marshalltown, Michael McDowell of Marshalltown, David (Tina) McDowell of Omaha, NE, Dennis (Jessica) McDowell of Arlington, TX, and Jerome McDowell of Marshalltown; sisters Juanita McDowell of Des Moines, Jane (Mike Hatchit) McDowell of Marshalltown and Bernadette McDowell of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren Keyara, Xavier, Evrick, Elijah, Quardell and hosts of many other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother Ollie Mae, father William Franklyn, sister Sandra Logsdon and brother Edward Dean McDowell.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home and services at 11 AM Friday, October 19, 2018 at the funeral home as well. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to be used at a later date.
