Bobbie Jean Skelton Reynolds McWhite, 86, of Simpsonville, passed away on October 13, 2018.

Born on December 3, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John Raymond and Willie Faye Gossett Skelton.

Bobbie was a member of Standing Springs Baptist Church and the Peace Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of Waldrop Beauty Academy and retired from J P Stevens Slater Plant. In her earlier years, she enjoyed tending her garden and lawn. She often sat outside enjoying God’s creation (and worrying the neighbors because it was usually during the heat of the day). She loved doing genealogy research and had an avid interest in local and national politics.

She is survived by her two children, Jane (Benjamin Lee Landreth, Jr), of Fair Play, and Randy (Kelly Collins Reynolds) of Fountain Inn; six grandchildren, Reyn (John Mann), Leigh Ann, Kelly Jo, Andrew (Jessica), Matthew (Elizabeth), and Zachary; a great grandchild, Caleb.

Her siblings are: Hazel (wife of the late Jack Cann), the late Carl “Bub” Skelton (Betty), Sue (the late Bobby Joe Taylor), Dean (Rudy Wike), the late Jackie Whitfield (Glenn), Joe (Donna) and the late Georgia Norris (Clyde).

Also surviving are: dear first cousins, Diane Cagle and Marian “Mickey” Roper; many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins; and many caring and kind neighbors in Standing Springs Estates.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse Cleveland Reynolds, Jr. on April 5, 1982; and her second husband, Ben McWhite; and a great grandchild, Haiden Brooke.
