Stephen A. Barr, 70, Louisville, formerly of Meade County, died March 30, 2001, at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville. He was born June 18, 1930, in Meade County, the son of the late Joseph Edward Barr & Frances Gertrude Rhodes Barr. He was a retired employee of AT&T and a veteran of the US Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Lois Duncan Barr; 2 brothers, Joseph Leon Barr and Charles Eugene Barr, and a nephew, John Wayne Barr. Mr. Barr is survived by 2 brothers, Francis E. Barr, Payneville, and Robert A. Barr, Rhodelia, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held April 3 from St. Theresa Catholic Church with Father Bob Abel officiating. Interment was in St. Theresa Cemetery, directed by Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
