John R. ‘‘J.R.'' Angelo, 47, of Youngstown, died at 7:42 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2007, in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Health Center of cardiac arrest. He was born in Warren on May 27, 1959, the son of John A. Angelo and June Sunderman Angelo. He was a 1978 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School and attended the YSU Dana School of Music for three years. Since 1976, he was the owner and performer of his own DJ service, which during the 1970s was known as The Disco Machine, became The Dance Machine in the 1980s and was currently known as The Music Machine since the 1990s. He was a member of the Entertainers with Pat Padula and Pam Condoleon, and a member of the band Day Dream. He was also a song writer, composer and accomplished entertainer. He enjoyed music, digital recording and voice commercials, and also golf and fishing. He was a member of St. Pius X Church in Warren and St. Patrick's Church in Hubbard. He is survived by his wife, Dina E. Massullo Angelo, whom he married July 14, 1984; son, John E. Angelo at home; parents, John A. and June Angelo of Warren; and brother, Thomas A. (Cathy) Angelo of Warren. He also leaves his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elio and Mary (Pallotta) Massullo of Hubbard; grandmother, Michelina Pallotta of Hubbard; three sisters-in-law and also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a niece, Carlea Angelo, and a brother-in-law, Perry Massullo. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2007, at St. Pius X Church, with celebrant the Rev. William J. Loveless and co-celebrant the Rev. Raymond J. Thomas, preceded by a 10 a.m. service at The Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel. Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007, at The Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel and also from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
