Born Sept. 18, 1963 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Charles G. “Sonny” and Deanna B. “Dee” ( Amspacker) McCahan.
Matthew is survived by his sister, Cheri B. Bogart, and husband, James, of Glen Rock, and three nephews, Alec, Justin and Zachary Bogart.
A 1981 graduate of Juniata High School in Mifflintown, he was an avid race fan of the Port Royal Speedway.
His funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 at the Rex Funeral Home in Port Royal, with Rev. James Park Bricker officiating.
A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
Private interment will take place at the Old Church Hill Cemetery in Port Royal at the convenience of the family.
