Christian (Christ) Eirich, 63, of 824 Michigan Ave., died Wednesday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 20, 1914, at Lansing, Mich., a son of the late Casper and Anna Eirich. After the family moved to Sheboygan when he was a child, he attended Trinity Lutheran School.
On Nov. 16, 1935, he married Miss Josephine Franzen of Sheboygan at Trinity Lutheran Church parsonage.
Mr. Eirich worked as a printer at Zimmermann Printing Co. and then at the K.W. Muth Co. prior to retiring due to ill health in 1964: He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Wilfred (Diane) Basler, and one son, Dennis L., both of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Molly Kober, Mrs. Emily Diener and Mrs. Raymond Nelesen, all of Sheboygan.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels, the Rev. Lawrence Schmidt, assistant pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral chapels after 4p.m. Friday.
