Jimmy H. Gibson, 81 of Osaka died peacefully in his home October 10, 2018. He was a member of the Appalachia United Methodist Church and a member of UMWA local 1607. He was preceded in death by his wife Toby Gibson.
He is survived by his daughters, Elaine Surrett of Osaka, VA, Tammy Fine of Jacksonville, FL; son and daughter in law, Jim and Christina Gibson of Big Stone Gap, VA; grandchildren, Chandra and Pete of Jacksonville, FL, Derek and Megan Surrett of Noblesville, IN, Austin and Alex Gibson of Covington, VA, Toby, Journey and Jasper Gibson of Big Stone Gap, VA; great grandchildren, Tristin Shuler, Caden and Ian Surrett.
The family will receive friends at the Roy A. Green Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm Sunday, October 14, 2018 with services beginning at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. David Rose. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 am Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
