Cain—Miss Lavina Cain, 86, of Horton, died at the home of Mrs. M. C. Anderson, 320 West 9th street, Friday, 9 p. m. Funeral services to be conducted Sunday morning at 10 a.m. at the home of Mrs. M. C. Anderson. Rev. Mr. Foust of the Christian church at Horton will officiate. Burial to be in Anderson cemetery east of Reserve.

Cain — Lavena Anderson Cain, daughter of George-Trasa Anderson, was born July 13, 1848, near Finn Castle, Ind., died Aug. 10, 1934, at 8:35 p.m., the age of 86 years, 26 days. She united with the Christian church at Reserve, Kans., at the age of 20 years, remained a faithful member until the end. She was married to R. S. Cain, Nov. 17, 1870, at the home of her parents. To this union 5 children were born, 2 preceded her in death. Charles Marion in infancy, Stella Agnes Stafford. She leaves to mourn her loss one son, 2 daughters. Charles (I or L) of Kansas City, Mo., Nellie Spoore of Mayetta, Kans., Ella Chesnut of Reserve, Kans., a sister-in-law, Mrs. M. C. Anderson, of Horton, Kans., several grandchildren a host of other relatives, friends.
The funeral was held from the home of Mrs. M. C. Anderson at 10 o'clock Sunday morning in charge of Rev. C. M. Foust of the Horton Christian church. Interment was made in the Anderson cemetery northeast of Hiawatha.
