Albert Day, 91, of Frenchburg, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Edgewood Estates. He was born August 26, 1927, to the late Ash and Grace Nolan Day. He was a member of Frenchburg Baptist Church, loved westerns, fishing, bird watching, and his cat Bobby.
He is survived by one son, Darrell Day of Frenchburg, KY; four daughters, Deborah McClain (Danny) of Morehead, KY, Deanna Mynhier of Frenchburg, KY, Gracie Miller (Bruce) of Frenchburg, KY and Melissa Baker (James) of Frenchburg, KY; four sisters, Geneva Peeples (James) of Means, KY; Gladys Fleenor (Wayne) of Indiana; Sylvia Lutes of Jeffersonville, KY and Betty Reffitt of Ohio; eight grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Woodard Day; two sons, Dennis Day and Ricky Dale Day; six brothers, Oliver Day, Morgan Day, Stanley Day, Harley Day, Raymond Day and Clayton Day; two grandchildren, Danny K. McClain and Savannah L. Day; and one great grandchild, Keegan Wayne Baker.
The funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Friday, October 12, 2018, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Frenchburg, KY with Pastor Tim Rhodes officiating and burial following at Jewell-Day-Combs Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM, Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Frenchburg, KY. Pallbearers will be Gary Ray, Jamie Baker, Travis Day, Earnest Day, Chris McClain and Tracy McClain. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Day, Bruce Miller, Danny McClain, Chuck May, James Baker and Tim Hunt.
