NEWTON. Teresa Mae Turner Bond, a resident of Newton, died late Friday evening, October 5, 2018, at her residence following a seventeen-year battle with breast cancer. She was 55. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, October 8, 2018 in the Pilgrim Home Baptist Church, Wicksburg with Dr. Jerry Grandstaff officiating. Graveside services will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, near Newton. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bond, daughter of the late Clayton Turner and Ethel Mae Dillard Turner, was a native of Newton. She was a 1981 Graduate of Dale County High School and was an avid Warrior Fan. Mrs. Bond enjoyed spending time with her family, church family and her many community friends. She was employed with Dothan Medical Associates as a Medical Assistant for the past twenty-nine years. Mrs. Bond was a member of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Turner. Survivors include her husband, Jim Bond; daughter, Stacy Henderson; son, Kevin Bond (Erica); her brother, Bimbo Turner (Sherry); her sister, Linda Griggs (Robert), all of Newton; three grandchildren, Michael Bond, Logan Henderson, and Landon Herring; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
