Winifred "Winnie" Weathers, 70, Salina, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at her home.

Mrs. Weathers was born Winifred Watson on Sept. 27, 1930, at Mena, Ark., and was a resident of Salina most of her life. She was a machine operator at Tony's Pizza Service, Salina.

Her husband, Winton K. "Stormy," died in 1988.

Survivors include a son, Gary of Salina; three daughters, Jean Weathers-Platz of Topeka, Laura Weathers of Salina and Mary Edith Schlarbaum of Chehalus, Wash.; two brothers, Joe Watson and George Watson, both of Mena; a sister, Marie Trest of Shreveport, La.; and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, the Rev. Katherine Pitts officiating. Private family burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to American Lung Association.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday.
