Mildred "Jeanne" Wood, 93, of Middletown, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Middletown on March 2, 1925 to parents James Emerson and Sara Elizabeth (Priest) Laubach.
Jeanne devoted her life to making a loving home for her family. She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed square dancing, golfing, and was a member of Wildwood Golf Club.
Mrs. Wood is survived by her sons, Larry (Lois) Wood and Stephen (Sharon) Wood; grandchildren, Sally (Billy) Reel, Dan (Stacey) Wood, and Stephanie (Jason) Lawson; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence D. Wood; parents; and brother, Robert (Bette) Laubach.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, with Chaplain Ed Bastien officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
