Obituary of Franklin R. Thayer:

Franklin R. Thayer, 750 S. 5th St., Indiana, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 1973 at Indiana Hospital. A son of Frank and Sarah Olive (Johnston) Thayer, he was born Nov. 16, 1913, at Glen Campbell. Mr. Thayer was a member of the First Christian Church of Hollywood, Fla.; Blossburg F & A M Lodge 350, and American Legion Post 141 of Indiana. He was a retired insurance representative having been a staff manager with the American General Life Insurance Co. He had served in the U. S. Navy during WW II. Mr. Thayer lived for a short time in Hollywood, Fla., and in Homer City before moving to Indiana in 1935. Surviving are his widow, Mildred M. States Thayer; three sons, Robert C., Indiana; Leonard E., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Donald L., at home; six grandchildren; three brothers: Arthur, Butler; John, Akron, Ohio, and Eugene, Los Angeles, Calif. Friends are being received from 2-4 and 7-9 today at Robinson-Lytle Funeral Home, Indiana, where services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. William A. Blair officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
